Launched in the Banda Sea in 1992, Pindito quickly expanded routes to include Raja Ampat, Komodo, Ambon and Alor. Today, Pindito continues to thrive as the pioneer, exploring new areas and new dive sites, while developing and offering trips that are both unique and diverse. Our eight cabins and common areas are comfortable and thoughtfully planned, and offer a relaxed yet professional setting for all activities. We cater for many levels of water lovers and strive to accommodate all types of adventures. Diving, snorkeling, whale and bird watching, paddle boarding andisland/cultural visits are just a sample of what Pindito offers. Photographers and videographers will appreciate the space and layout of the specially built and dedicated camera room. Lovingly built by Swiss owner Edi Frommenwiler, Pindito is meticulously maintained with an impeccable safety record. Year on year upgrades and improvements keep Pindito at the top of her class as she continues to set standards with her smooth riding and stabilized hull. Cabin Description
MV Pindito has 6 double cabins which feature individually controlled air conditioning, as well as newly renovated (June 2017) ensuite, appointed with a shower, washbasin and toilet. An upper bunk can also be added to accommodate a family with one child or two people who just want an extra surface on which to place their gear.
Cabin Facilities
MV Pindito has two twin cabin “Ambon” and “Aru” named after the islands in the Maluku region. Our cabins with one twin bed and a bunk offer more floor space than double cabins. Twin cabins are ideal for single guests — there is no surcharge for booking half a twin cabin. Twin cabins also have newly renovated (June 2017) ensuite, appointed with a shower, washbasin, and toilet.
Route Description - Halmahera – Malkusea 11 Nights

And of course we have the not so famous, and even secret, equally spectacular sites that only a few of us know about.
This trip takes you from Sorong in Irian Jaya, through the Molucca Sea past Halmahera to Manado in North Sulawesi. The 650 nautical mile journey takes us through a range of different land and seascapes. The trip starts with a taste of the beautiful coral reefs of Raja Ampat. On the south coast of Halmahera we will dive walls and drop-offs with big fish action. The small islands off the west coast of Halmahera are home to great coral reefs. The end of the trip in North Sulawesi offers you pristine coral reefs, great fish life and spectacular critter diving in the famous black sand of the Lembeh Strait. A diverse trip with something for everybody!

Breathtaking sights Komodo National Park was declared a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991. The National Park includes the three larger islands of Komodo, Rinca and Padar, as well as numerous smaller islands. The dive spots around Komodo offer unbelievable variety. One day you can admire rare critters creatures in the morning and in the afternoon drift along with giant mantas and schools of big-eye jacks. There are patch reefs, bommies (pinnacles), sheer walls, and shallow coral gardens to be explored. There are more than 1000 fish species, 260 species of corals, 70 different sponge species, 17 species of whales and dolphins and at least 2 different kinds of sea turtles living in the waters of Komodo National Park.

New discoveries every day Miraculous and mostly untouched dive sites around Alor are waiting to be discovered by you. Most of them are hidden in the nutrient-rich Pantar Straits between Alor and Pantar. Over many years, Pindito uncovered some of the most secret mysteries of marine wonderlands that remain unknown to other liveaboards. Expect to immerse yourself in a diving paradise brimming over with vibrant creatures.
