Belize is well-known for its wall diving opportunities and has the longest continuous barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere. Encrusted with colourful corals, the walls also harbour sponges and huge gorgonian fans as well as being home to crabs and eels. With many types of hard corals and hundreds of different fish species including clown fish and parrotfish the photographic opportunities are endless. Divers can also expect to see hammerhead sharks, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles, manatees and eagle rays in addition to the smaller species such as lobsters and seahorses.
